Ponniyin Selvan: 2 is a newly launched Tamil Movie that was released on 28 April 2023. The movie is written by Kalki Krishnamurthy as the movie is based on a Tamil fictional novel “Ponniyin Selvan“. This movie is the second part of the first Ponnitin Selvan 1 which was released in 2022. The screenplay of the Ponniyin Selvan 2 movie is done by Mani Ratnam, B. Jeyamohan, and Elango Kumaravel and directed by Mani Ratnam, who also directed movies like “Ponniyin Selvan: I” in 2022, “Putham Pudhu Kaalai” in 2020, and “Vaanam Kottattum” in 2020. The Ponniyin Selvan: II movie is produced by Mani Ratnam and Subaskaran Allirajah with a budget of INR 250 Crores (US$30 million).
The movie is narrated by Kamal Haasan and the cinematography of the movie is done by Ravi Varman. A. Sreekar Prasad is the editor of the movie and the music of the movie is done by A. R. Rahman.
